With over 100 tours stops around the globe, it’s safe to say that Selena Gomez’s legions of fans are eager to catch a glimpse of her stage costumes – and they do not disappoint. Gomez and her stylist and fashion director, Christian Classen, worked together to orchestrate a massive performance that includes several different acts and costume changes. However, it is her “Metropolis/Technology” act that promises the most high-fashion moment of the show, and features a custom-made couture look by Karl Lagerfeld that took over 200 hours to create. This jaw-dropping ensemble is comprised of a silk muslin dress, black vinyl leggings, and fingerless gloves, while other components include 12,000 seed pearls, glittering embroidery, mirror-effect elements, and other gorgeous embellishments. “I put on the actual costume when it was done and I was just completely blown away,” Gomez shared. “It makes me feel so bad-ass. It’s the best feeling in the world. ”
