It all started with the set. Like something out of a movie scene so well made it felt real, a fantasy world with gleaming lights, geometric shapes, and futuristic vibes was our first clue to what Louis Vuitton had planned for Fall/Winter 2016. The looks in the show lived up to the expectations set by the space, and Nicolas Ghesquière carried the fantasy movie theme onto the pieces. The accessories seemed to have been borrowed from the coolest fictional characters you could ever imagine and included industrial metallic finishes, the earrings of a fairy from outer space, hardcase bags, and stompy heels. Ghesquière’s FW16 girl does not compromise on style.
