Supremely delicate and seriously tough accents shared the spotlight on Valentino’s Fall/Winter 2016 runway. The show was breathtakingly beautiful and achingly cool at the same time, with magical moments that included a live piano performance and a series of ballet-inspired blush and nude gowns.
Valentino’s models wore pared-down jewelry in elongated shapes, mimicking a ballerina’s shapes and movements, that were finished off in dark metallic hues and sharp forms for a cool-girl vibe. Ribbons as belts played into the overall theme, as did the ballerina shoes, which are now officially back for next season.
