Symphony, Shamsa Alabbar Designs, and the Dubai Foundation for Women and Children (DFWAC) have joined forces in an effort to raise funds for women and children in need. The result of the collaboration is a delicate, geometric jewelry piece named the ‘Token of Hope Bracelet’, which was created in Alabbar’s signature design aesthetic.
Speaking exclusively to Savoir Flair, the young Emirati designer explains, “‘Token of Hope’ is a line that was initiated by Shamsa Alabbar Designs when we launched to give back to the community with a full commitment. Every year, we choose a difference cause, and this year we wanted to dedicate our support to female empowerment in the UAE, which is why we chose to collaborate with DFWAC.” The cause is one that is close to Alabbar’s heart, and she’s chosen to tackle the issue in a sustainable manner, via the education of women.
“The design of the bracelet is one of the main elements of our geometric Arabic letters, and it strongly symbolizes what our brand is about; abstract shapes put together to create unusual beauty that, in this particular case, represents hope,” she shares, explaining the origin of the bracelet’s name.
The ‘Token of Hope Bracelet’ is now available for purchase at Symphony. All profits from the sale of the bracelet will go to supporting the rehabilitation and education of abused women and children.
