Planning the perfect wedding can be a headache and a half, even with a top-notch wedding planner and a team of family members by your side. Thankfully, the Bride Dubai show, which is the Middle East’s only large-scale event of its kind, brings together 250 global and regional exhibitors to display everything from jewelry and gowns to cosmetics and cakes. Gowns are the biggest attraction at the bridal show, and this year aims to elevate offerings from previous years by including a one-of-a-kind pop-up couture platform, which offers gorgeous wedding gowns by designers the likes of Amato Haute Couture, Ezra, Essa, and Ayesha Depala. Whether you’re searching for a traditional wedding dress or something more fashion forward, Bride Dubai is a must-see event that caters to every taste level imaginable.
Another highlight of the bridal exhibition that attendees should look forward to is the exclusive Amato runway show to close the event. Speaking exclusively to Savoir Flair, the Dubai-based Filipino designer behind the brand, Furne One, shares, “I love how wedding dresses have evolved through the years and have become more relaxed and casual. As much as I would love to shower a wedding gown with floral appliqués and lace, I also find myself in love with this generation’s penchant for simple and relaxed bridal dresses. It’s the sheer beauty, romance, and purity of it all that I find fascinating.” When asked for his top tip for finding the perfect wedding dress, he reveals, “When fitting the dress, try to photograph it with and without flash. You want to be sure the dress is photogenic given the fact that it will probably be the subject of every camera on your wedding day. And always trust your gut. If you’re not sure about the dress, then it probably isn’t the one.”
Head to the exhibition at the World Trade Center this weekend to see the gorgeous couture creations for yourself and meet with experts and suppliers across all bridal industries.
