Anne Valérie Hash’s Spring/Summer 2014 collection was named “Pause”, giving the audience a moment to sit back and think in the easy, tomboyish beauty of her relaxed presentation for Spring/Summer 2014.
Menswear shapes and brogues transmitted a clear message of down-to-earth style, but Hash’s reflective fabrics and lace paneling allowed the collection to flourish with both modern and feminine touches. Nineteen looks in interchangeable shades of black, white, pale blue, and hazmat orange proved that simplicity is a strength for Hash. Transparent lace tops were sectioned with geometric silk panels in strategically placed positions; paired with tailored trousers and puffy bolero jackets, this sheer trend takes on a fresh look for Spring/Summer 2014. Hash imbued her looks with a sportif attitude by pairing them all with flat brogues – this will appeal to the exclusive “MOD” (Model Off Duty) crowd, but stiletto heels are what most women will reach for when it comes to pairing footwear with these lacy, louche looks. Fashion’s dandy dauphins will fall for Hash’s futuristic fabrics, tab-trousers, and slouchy jackets, but it’s the elegant lace-topped gown that saw the most traction on social media after the show wrapped.
