Endemage, an Omani brand run by sisters Lubna and Nadia Al Zakwani, comes more and more into its own as the seasons pass. Their Spring/Summer 2016 collection is evidence of the brand’s growth, as every look is comprised of luxe, feminine pieces painted in spring’s most beautiful hues. One thing that sets Endemage apart from other regional brands is its Omani heritage, which the sisters pay homage to with every collection.
When asked about the inspiration behind their Spring/Summer 2016 lookbook, Lubna and Nadia revealed personal origins in an exclusive interview with Savoir Flair; “As children, we would wake up early in the morning and drive inland to where the date farms are. Dad would check the dates while we would walk around between all the palms. The testers would keep all sorts of dates for us to try. As we grew older, we stopped accompanying dad, but we would still drive down to the beautiful villages where these farms were and set up a day picnic while dad finished his work. We had also started growing our own palm trees at home and would wait every year for the dates to grow and watch the gardener climb up the trees to fill bags with all the dates.” These childhood memories are immortalized in a collection of crepe, chiffon, and tulle dresses and separates textured with embroidery in the shape of date palms.
