Some great ideas come to you while you shower, some happen late at night right before you sleep, and some come to you in a dream, which was the case for Kate Zubarieva and Asya Varetsa. Six months later, the idea materialized and Ukrainian brand Sleeper was born – a line of pajamas and robes made out of natural fabrics. The collection adopts a monochromatic color scheme of dusty pastels and grays, and each item is prescribed and designed to be worn at least eight hours a day.
Talking to both ex-fashion editors who firmly believe in the concept of “walking sleepwear”, Savoir Flair asked for their tips on how to wear their pieces outside of the house. Varetsa shares, “You can throw on some kitten heels or your favorite brogues. Pajama tops pair nicely with wide-leg jeans, and a robe can also become a dress for a party.” She adds, “We made sure that, with the right accessories, your traditional pajamas can be transformed into an everyday urban uniform.”
