The Givenchy legacy brought to you by their studio team.

As Givenchy navigates the waters between the departure of Matthew Williams and the arrival of a new Creative Director, its Fall/Winter 2024 collection was handled by the house's studio team. It felt like a love letter to the timelessness and innovative spirit of its founder, Hubert de Givenchy. In a blend of homage and evolution, this collection wove together the threads of Givenchy's rich heritage with the vibrancy of today's fashion landscape, creating a dialogue that celebrated both flirtatiousness and the sophisticated subtlety of the iconic Givenchy muse.

With a keen eye on dramatic yet refined cuts and a playful exploration of textures and embellishments, the collection was a modern take on the maison’s legacy. Statement jewelry, drawing from the archives with a modern twist of lacquer and crystals, was presented alongside pieces that flirted with feline motifs – adding layers of boldness and intrigue. The entire ensemble, set against the intimate backdrop of the salon at 3 Avenue George V, effortlessly transitioned from the elegance of eveningwear to the practicality of daywear through a color palette that danced between the maison's traditional black and navy, punctuated by bursts of red and deep blue. This season, Givenchy presented a collection that paid tribute to its past while boldly striding into the future, leaving room for whatever creative direction will come next.
