Visit the Whitney Museum of American Art
The museum recently moved from its uptown space on 75th street and Madison Avenue to its long-awaited new location in New York’s buzzing Meatpacking District. The nine-floor building, designed by Renzo Piano, boasts the best in American art and includes an outdoor gallery space with breathtaking views of the New York skyline.
Take a Stroll Down the High Line
The best part about several of New York City’s best attractions? They don’t cost a cent. Head over to the High Line, an impressive 1.45-mile long elevated park, for a leisurely stroll along the former railway structure turned botanical garden.
Bike Ride Across the Brooklyn Bridge
This famous and magnificent landmark binds two great New York City boroughs: Manhattan and Brooklyn. Take a guided bike tour along the historic monument with Blazing Saddles.
Ride a Rollercoaster at Coney Island
Coney Island – New York’s legendary amusement district – is home not only to historic roller coasters, but also to Nathan’s Famous hot dogs. We suggest spending an afternoon enjoying the rides, beach, and boardwalk.
Go Shopping at Jeffrey New York
This super swanky boutique sells upscale clothes (think: Altuzarra, Isabel Marant, and Commes des Garçons, to name but a few) for the style set. It’s around the corner from the Whitney Museum, so combine shopping and culture in one afternoon.
Take in the Views from the Rooftop of the Wythe Hotel
Head to the Ides on the sixth floor of the Wythe Hotel in Brooklyn for twinkling views of the Manhattan skyline and to soak up the achingly hip people-watching scene.
Experience the Play ‘Sleep No More’
This interactive theatrical performance is one for the books. Follow actors around an abandoned warehouse and try to piece together the story they tell, which is largely based on Shakespeare’s Macbeth. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes.

Work Out at SoulCycle
Since SoulCycle first opened in 2006, it has quickly become the fitness phenomenon for New Yorkers. The candlelit, stationary-bike workout is guaranteed to make you feel better about the calorie count you consumed while trying out the 10 best restaurants in New York City.
Visit ‘Saturday Night Live: The Exhibition’
In honor of the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Live, go check out the museum-like exhibition in Midtown Manhattan. It promises a behind-the-scenes look at one of NBC’s longest-running – and most hysterical – shows.
Fly to the Hamptons in Style
‘Fly the Whale’ was founded on the premise that life is too short for traffic. And honestly we couldn’t agree more. Take off on Friday and return Sunday evening for a cool AED 3,636 price tag.
