Dana Wolley, founder and owner of Wayed Vintage, is officially a bride-to-be. To celebrate, she held an exquisite engagement party with her fiancé Samer Zayat at the Raffles Ballroom of Dubai’s Raffles Hotel last week. From cascading flowers and glistening candles to delicious red velvet cakes and banana pudding from the iconic Magnolia Bakery, the evening – and the hashtag #DoonieAndSamer – were unforgettable.
When she set out to plan the big night, she had one theme in mind – “royal” – and only three weeks to pull it all together. With the help of Firenze Flora and Esposa Bridal, Dana and Samer, who first met through friends at Dubai’s Ripe Market, got engaged in a breathtaking ceremony. Speaking to Savoir Flair exclusively, Dana shares, “A custom-made couture dress would usually take months to make, but Esposa managed to create it for me in less than three weeks! I told them what I wanted and they drew an illustration for me, which I then approved. I wanted something in a blush-pink or powder-pink color palette with long sleeves, but I wanted it to be super tight on the waist – a silhouette that takes you back to old-school, vintage glamor.”
