Britney Spears Finally Calls Out Her "So-Called Support System"

Britney Spears posted an impassioned message on her Instagram page this past weekend, calling out her “so-called support system.” Without mincing words, Spears spoke against those closest to her who never offered her a helping hand when she needed it, but who are now posting “righteously for support.” While she didn’t name any names – she only said “you know who you are” – many are assuming she is referring to her sister, Jamie Lynne Spears, who posted several videos recently in her stories saying she supported her sister, but who had been silent on her sister’s conservatorship for the last 13 years. Spears also stated in a follow-up post: “I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards show and performed MY SONGS to remixes !!!!! My so-called support system hurt me deeply !!!!”

Blake Lively Slams the Paparazzi for Stalking Her Daughters

Mama Bear Blake Lively was out for blood this week when she detailed a disturbing account of a paparazzi stalking her and her three daughters – whom she shares with her husband, Ryan Reynolds – who was jumping out and hiding in order to take photos. “Where is your morality here? I would like to know. Or do you simply not care about the safety of children?” Lively asked before adding, “Please stop paying grown-ass men to hide and hunt children.” The actress also stated that she has made agreements with other photographers to pose for pictures if they promise to leave her kids alone, which honestly makes our blood boil just as much. No woman should have to barter to pose for a photo in order to protect her children.

Olivia Rodrigo Visits the White House

Olivia Rodrigo visited the White House this past Wednesday to urge young people to get the COVID-19 vaccination. Rodrigo, 18, has a fan base of over 28 million, many of whom who are in the exact age group President Biden hopes to reach with her new message. Only a quarter of all youth in the United States aged 12-15 are vaccinated, so Rodrigo has agreed to use her platforms to help spread the message about youth vaccination and encourage those in her age group to get vaccinated in order to help protect themselves, their family, and their friends.

Jameela Jamil Rages About Fatphobia Ad in Times Square

Jameela Jamil has posted a picture of an advertisement displayed in Times Square that was blatantly fatphobic and took to her Instagram account to channel her rage. She called out the “egregious mainstream shaming and abuse of fat people” in America and argued that Americans have yet to recognize their “cruel and offensive hate speech” when it comes to fat people. The ad – which asks “feeling fat and lazy?” and then shows a picture of a thin woman ready to work out – suggests that if you are fat, you must be lazy and unhealthy. Jamil argued that she was her unhealthiest when she was anorexic and skinny, whereas several people she knows who are bigger maintain a happier, healthier lifestyle, and should be allowed to love their body as it is.

*Spoiler Alert* A leaked copy of an episode from the new Sex and the City reboot, And Just Like That, on HBO Max reveals that Carrie and Big are still in their tumultuous, toxic, on-again, off-again romance struggles. The couple is now in the middle of a bitter divorce as they look to divide assets and in the leaked page, she is telling her pals, Charlotte, Miranda, and Stanford that she is far from being okay. “I was taping the podcast, I was washing my hair. Yes, I wasn’t eating or sleeping, but at least I felt good about my marriage. Now I’m just one of the wives he was taking care of?” First of all, is anyone surprised? No. Secondly, is anyone surprised the script was leaked? Not at all. As we’ve said before, their marketing team is genius.

Filming for 'Bridgerton' Season 2 Shuts Down For Second Time

Just as filming was set to resume for Season 2 of Bridgerton, the production has been put on indefinite hold yet again. A second member of the cast or crew has tested positive for COVID-19, and the production has followed all protocols by making sure that everyone in contact is now going through testing and isolation. However, as Shondaland is filming in the UK, which now has the highest number of new cases a day due to the rampant spread of the Delta variant, it is unclear when filming will be able to resume, despite the fact that the UK is gearing up for its renewed opening, dubbed “Freedom Day”, on July 19th.
