Shrimp Tails Found in Cinnamon Toast Crunch
On March 22nd, Jensen Karp, husband of Danielle Fishel – the actress who became popular after playing Topanga in Boy Meets World in the 90s – tweeted a very disturbing picture of his morning breakfast which included the cereal Cinnamon Toast Crunch and what appeared to be two shrimp tails. Karp, a comedian, writer, and podcast host, naturally handled the matter with humor, although it soon turned to a PR battle when the cereal’s parent company, General Mills, suggested that it was clumps of sugar and not, in fact, shrimp tails, but they would replace the box. Karp refused the replacement, and revealed he had also found bits of string in the bag as well as unidentified –but highly disturbing-looking – pieces baked into other squares.
Since his initial tweet, the issue has escalated to a full investigation by General Mills, including DNA testing for the shrimp tails. But as one Twitter user pointed out, the real irony is that the following is an entirely true statement: “A man named Karp married to a woman named Fishel found shrimp tails in a box of Cinnamon Toast Crunch. The cereal was purchased from the Costco on Topanga Canyon Blvd. and his wife played Topanga on Boy Meets World. Meanwhile, Karp used to be a guest on Pistol Shrimp Podcast.” Sometimes truth is stranger than fiction.

Dubai-based Painter Sells Largest Painting in the World for $62 million
Dubai-based, British-born painter and philanthropist Sacha Jafri has sold his painting, ‘The Journey of Humanity’, in its entirety. Painted in the Atlantis ballroom during seven months of lockdown, Jafri had originally separated the painting into 70 large canvases to be sold individually with the aim of raising $30 million USD for charities such as UNICEF, UNESCO, the Global Gift Foundation, and Dubai Cares – aimed at empowering children most affected by COVID-19. However, French-national and crypto-currency businessman, Andre Abdoune, purchased the painting in its entirety for twice the amount at a total of $62 million USD.
“It was my dream in my life to do something amazing for my children, for my father. I talked with Sacha and I discovered the investment and love he put into this painting was so amazing. All my life I was aiming to help children. When I was a child, I had nothing to eat. Now I have something to eat. We all have to do something. Every dollar can mean something. If we do it together, we give hope to these children and their future,” said Abdoune.
