Prince William and The Queen Speak Up About Harry and Meghan Interview
After Prince Harry and Meghan Markle‘s bombshell interview with Oprah Winfrey last week, Prince William broke with Palace protocol to remain silent in a brief interview captured on camera. On his way to visit a school in East London with the Duchess of Cambridge, the Duke of Cambridge was asked by a reporter if he’d spoken to his brother since the interview, to which he gave an empty chuckle and responded by saying, “No, I haven’t spoken to him yet, but I will do.” He continued to walk in the direction he was headed as the journalist then called out asking if the royal family was a racist family. The Duke of Cambridge looked back only once more and replied, “We are very much not a racist family.”
The Queen, also bucking tradition, issued a statement following the explosive interview saying, “The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan. The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately. Harry, Meghan, and Archie will always be much loved family members.”
While the statement does not give too much information, the fact that both senior royals have felt the need to respond speaks quite a good deal about how fundamentally the interview has rocked them to the core.
Is This the End of J-Rod?
On Friday, we were in a tailspin because sources were saying that celebrity couple J-Rod – Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez – were calling it quits. A day later, both Lopez and Rodriguez squashed those rumors by announcing in a joint statement that they were “working through things.”
“They never officially broke up, and talked about it, but are still together. They hit a rough patch, but were not broken up,” said a source close to the singer and former Yankees player. “She’s working in the Dominican Republic, and he’s in Miami, so it’s tough seeing each other, especially with quarantining and COVID,” the source added. “But they want to try to stay together.”
Yesterday, when asked if he and Lopez were splitting up, Rodriguez simply responded with, “I’m not single.”
Meghan Markle Filed a Complaint Against Piers Morgan After He Left the Show
Piers Morgan, host of Good Morning Britain since 2015, clashed with weatherman Alex Beresford after the now infamous royal interview with Winfrey went live. The two colleagues have been public about their differences of opinion on the matter over Twitter, but while they were live, Beresford challenged Morgan’s comments about not believing Markle when she talked about her mental health struggles, calling them “pathetic” and “diabolical.” Morgan walked off set, and later that evening, ITV announced that he had resigned from the show.
As for Markle, ITV not only received over 41,000 complaints from the public for Morgan’s comments, but royal correspondent Omid Scobie reported that Markle filed a formal complaint with the network as well for his disparaging comments about her struggles with mental illness as it could negatively affect those who are seeking mental health support as well.

Lady Gaga Gives Us a First Look Into the New Gucci Biopic
Lady Gaga took a break from her busy filming schedule to post a picture of Adam Driver and herself playing “Signore e Signora Gucci” in the new Ridley Scott Gucci murder biopic entitled House of Gucci. Sporting some on-point 1980s apres ski attire, the pair looked plenty cozy despite the fact that their characters were anything but. Gaga plays Patrizia Reggiani, the ex-wife of Guccio Gucci‘s grandson, Maurizio Gucci, who was tried and convicted of plotting her ex-husband’s murder in Milan. Reggiani served 18 years in prison and was released early in 2016 due to good behavior.

Are We Saying Goodbye to PCR Nose Swabs?
Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences (MBRU), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), and Breathonix are researching the possibility of a rapid 60-second COVID-19 breath test. They are currently undergoing a joint clinical trial to test the accuracy of the revolutionizing test.
Dr. Nada Al Mulla, Director of DHA’s Nadd Al Hamar Primary Healthcare Sector, where the tests are being carried out, said, “If approved and implemented, this technology will significantly reduce the burden on laboratory processing. It will drastically reduce the time taken to get the results in comparison to the presently available testing methods such as a polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test. The breath test for screening COVID-19 is highly efficient for mass screening, especially in areas of high-traffic.”
