Ah, l’amour. As we wrap up this monstrosity of a year, we’d like nothing better than to sit and make fun of every horrible disaster that struck our world in what felt like one cataclysmic event after another. However, we’ve decided to take the high road and think of all of the positive things that happened like babies being born and people being in love.

What better way to celebrate a global disaster of a year than to highlight the moments that made 2020 the best year for these people? Okay, for these celebrities. Because nobody cares if your cousin’s best friend got married on Zoom, but we all care that Scarlett Johansson did. Why we do is a mystery. But today is not the day to sort it out. Today is the day to focus on happiness and the good things in the lives of famous people that help us believe that at the end of the day, love always wins.

The caption read: “In a wedding officiated by the king himself, the people’s princess wed her devoted, low born, but kind credit card holder in a beautiful ceremony lit by the ashen skies courtesy of a burning state miles away in the midst of a global pandemic.
