As parts of the world start opening up again, holidays are back on the table – for some people at least. However, our needs have changed, and you’re hardly going to want to plan a trip to a place packed with people. Kylie Jenner has nailed the socially distanced holiday vibe with her latest trip to a remote Utah resort in the middle of the desert.
The 22-year-old beauty mogul is staying at Amangiri, a luxury 600-acre resort at Canyon Point. The scenery is suitably dramatic, with rust and beige colored canyons and sharp cliff edges surrounding the hideaway. Jenner – who is there with her sister Kendall, daughter Stormi and some friends – has been taking in the sights by walking along a suspension bridge between canyons as well as lounging about the complex.
The modern resort almost blends into the backdrop, made of muted stone tones and sharp edges. The resort doesn’t come cheap, with the lowest price for one person a night costing AED6,600. A night in the Amangiri Suite – which has a private pool and fire pit – costs AED12,855 for a Friday night alone.
Amangiri is in close reach of some stand-out Utah nature, including the Grand Canyon, Bryce Canyon, and Zion National Park. It’s also near to Monument Valley Tribal Park, which is home to the Navajo Nation. The resort says it is “tightly connected to Utah’s Native American communities and offers a range of one-of-a-kind experiences that bring guests closer to the culture and history of the Navajo people”. While she’s there, Jenner could go on a hot-air balloon ride, take in the scenery on a helicopter, or hike through the canyons. There are also opportunities to camp out in the desert (glamping, of course) and relax in the resort’s extensive spa.
Jenner isn’t the only famous person to take advantage of the seclusion of Amangiri – Justin and Hailey Bieber recently visited the resort for a unique getaway too.
