As kids around the globe wake up early to bring their dad breakfast in bed, we at Savoir Flair wanted to take a moment to honor some of the incredible fathers out there who are getting this whole fatherhood thing right. These celebrities may be better known to us by the roles they’ve played, the songs they’ve sung, or their royal status, but to their little bundles of joy, they’re just ‘Dad’. Happy Father’s Day, gentlemen.
We adore watching how over-the-moon John Legend is for his two young offspring, Luna and Miles. You can find a number of touching and heartwarming pictures and videos of Legend with his wife, Chrissy Teigen, and their kids on both his and his famous wife’s instagram. However, the video that stood out among the rest was the one of him casually sitting at the piano and singing to his daughter and son while they danced without a care in the world. Of course, it doesn’t hurt that his musical talent far surpasses your average family sing-along.

Mark Wahlberg has certainly come a long way from his bad boy rapper days. The actor and producer has been entertaining us all with videos of his family from his gorgeous Los Angeles home during the Stay-At-Home orders in California. But what melted our hearts was when he let his daughter have the time of her life giving him a full makeover: manicure, pedicure, makeup, the works. Now that is a dad willing to do anything for his little girl.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson
Dwayne Johnson may be best known for muscles upon muscles upon muscles, however, that’s not how his three daughters see him. Johnson frequently posts heartwarming images and videos of daddy-daughter time on his Instagram page, like the one where he flawlessly sings “You’re Welcome” from Moana to his youngest daughter. After he sings for her, he asks his daughter, who is perched on his lap watching the video, if she believes that Daddy is the character Maui. To which she matter-of-factly replies, “No.”
Criss Angel’s six-year-old son has been struggling with cancer for over three years, and recently relapsed just before the coronavirus pandemic hit. The Vegas magician opened up about the strength of his son — who gave away his own toys to other children in his ward — despite being in the midst of fighting his own battle. Following in his son’s footsteps, Angel has donated $250,000 worth of food for families whose kids are also being treated at Cure 4 The Kids Foundation and who are facing financial crisis because of the pandemic. “Nobody [who is] going through what we are going through should have to choose between feeding their families and rent,” says Angel.
Lenny Kravitz was described by Jennifer Lawrence as a father figure to her during filming for The Hunger Games, and the two were reportedly very close. So it’s no wonder that Kravitz also has a close relationship with his daughter, Zoë Kravitz. He frequently promotes her work on his own social channels, takes time from his schedule to vacation with her, and sings her praises for all the work she has accomplished. For Women’s Day last year, Lenny posted a picture of him holding a sign saying, “It’s time to turn it over to women! Men have had their chance to run the world and look where we are.”
Kevin Hart’s stand-up comedy is rife with anecdotal humor about his kids, being a dad, and family struggles, which is one of the reasons so many people can relate to him. But his comedy comes from a genuine place of being the kind of father who is involved and active in his kids’ lives. Just search the hashtag “Harts” and you see him camping with his family, lifting his son instead of weights, biking through canyons, and celebrating everything about the most important people in his life.
Ashton Kutcher recently posted a video of himself making a heartfelt plea for folks to understand the difference between saying “Black Lives Matter” and “All Lives Matter.” In his video, Kutcher struggles to reign in his emotions as he tells how that night he was reading bedtime stories to his daughter and son with wife, Mila Kunis, when his son asked him why his sister’s story always got to go first. To which Kutcher replied, “Because for some people, girls don’t go at all. So for us, Girls go first.” Then he added, “We all agree that all lives matter, but for some people, black lives don’t matter, so for us, black lives matter.” It is clear that Kutcher is doing his part to be a dad who instills a strong sense of justice, compassion, and empathy in his children.

Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex
Despite any opinions for or against the direction Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, have taken in regards to their royal status, there is no question that the Prince puts his family first. Prince Harry has repeatedly spoken up in support of his wife, and now he has made one of the most dramatic decisions a royal can make in order to protect his family: he removed them from the harsh media spotlight. Every father should have the right to do what he believes is best for the safety and well-being of his wife and child, royal or otherwise. Despite intense criticism, this dad continues to prioritize his family over everything else.
