The world’s obsession with Selena Gomez and her personal life is relentless, but this time, her “Boyfriend” is particularly significant. No, it’s not a Canadian musician that we’re referring to, but her new single, which according to the popstar is “a lighthearted song about falling down and getting back up time and time again in love”.
“Boyfriend” features in the deluxe version of her album Rare – out on April 9 – but was written long before the ongoing pandemic struck. As a result, Gomez took to Instagram to announce that not only will she personally contribute to the PLUS1 COVID-19 Relief Fund, but a portion of the proceeds from the sale of her album will also be donated.
