As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to wreak havoc on the planet, there is no doubt that humanity is the order of the day. The coming weeks will be particularly overwhelming for healthcare workers, with the combination of rising coronavirus cases, limited resources, and low-income groups creating a crisis. Thankfully, celebrities like RihannaRyan Reynolds, Kim Kardashian, Donatella Versace, and many more have stepped up, making donations to help charitable organizations – thereby leading by example.

She has also pledged one million dollars for ventilators for her home country, Barbados.

Rita Ora

Rita Ora’s efforts to help fight against COVID-19 are considerably unique compared to other celebrities. Designing a symbol to remind people that the battle against the pandemic can only be won if we fight together, the singer approached the United Nations Foundation that helped set up the COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund for the World Health Organization. She then launched Stop The Spread merchandise, with all proceeds going to the aforementioned fund.

Christian Siriano

The past few weeks have been surreal to say the least, leading many to feel both anxious and confused. Amidst all the panic, we did get to witness insiders from the fashion industry offering help to those in need. One such example is designer Christian Siriano, who has offered to fight the shortage of medical masks by manufacturing them with his team of expert sewers and pattern-makers.

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos join the list of celebrities contributing towards relief efforts. The couple’s contribution of one million dollars will be shared with New York Governor Andrew Cuomo’s office to purchase ventilators as well as Win, an organization dedicated to running women’s shelters across New York City.

Donatella Versace and Allegra Versace

Italy is the worst-hit country after China, and maintaining enough medical resources alongside the increasing number of patients has been a challenge. Designer Donatella Versace and her daughter Allegra Versace announced that they have donated a sum of two hundred thousand euros to the ICU of Milan’s San Raffaele Hospital in an effort to help the medical professionals who have been working relentlessly to save lives.

Jimmy Fallon

Jimmy Fallon posted his thoughts on Instagram, sharing that the vulnerable groups of society are suffering most due to the rapid spread of the virus. In an image shared on his profile, the TV host confirmed that he and his family have made a donation to Feeding America to help the organization in its efforts to feed those in need.

Kim Kardashian

Kim Kardashian’s shapewear brand Skims is contributing to the fight against the pandemic by donating 20 percent of all profits to Baby2Baby’s COVID-19 emergency response program in order to support its mission to provide essentials like diapers and blankets to children in need.

These essential products are to be distributed throughout family resource centers, homeless shelters, health clinics, and head start centers to families impacted by the COVID-19 outbreak.
