In the wake of Emirates announcing that it’s suspending most of its passengers flights by Wednesday, March 25, Savoir Flair felt the need to step in with at least a small piece of good news for travel junkies just like us – news you may have missed back in January, when life was blissfully normal.
The final book by beloved travel expert, TV host, and food writer Anthony Bourdain will be released on October 13, more than two years after he committed suicide. Entitled World Travel: An Irreverent Guide, this guide to some of the world’s most fascinating places promises “essential advice on how to get there, what to eat, where to stay and, in some cases, what to avoid”. Bourdain’s travels have taken him everywhere from tribal longhouses in Borneo to the most cosmopolitan corners of Buenos Aires and the stunning solitude of Oman’s Empty Quarter, so consider this a must for veteran travelers everywhere. We expect the book (which you can pre-order below) to be equal parts fun and frank – just like the legend himself.
