“Stars – they’re just like us.”

Truer words were never spoken, especially as the human race has collectively been forced indoors, attempting to stay healthy and productive within the four walls of one’s home. We’re all tackling bouts of anxiety, we’re all attempting to keep the kids entertained, we’re all relishing the company of our pets, and we’re all turning to humor on occasion to cope – and celebrities are no exception.

Here, Savoir Flair is taking a deep dive into Instagram to explore how actors, models, and popstars are practicing social distancing, but a few special shout-outs are in order: Camila Cabello for advising her followers on the power of meditation at a time like this, Pink for offering parents a very practical approach to maintaining a routine, Kristen Bell for her tips on handling packages, and Gloria Gaynor for preaching the importance of hygiene through her 1978 hit song “I Will Survive” – wash those hands people!

meditation has changed my life in the last few months. I didn’t share this with you guys at the time because honestly I was just trying to be okay, but I was experiencing severe anxiety. it was meditation- it was practicing every single day multiple times a day that has been healing me, and, more than just helping me manage strong emotions like anxiety and stress, it’s making me a better human. not only does it help in times like this with stress and anxiety, meditation is the practice of strengthening habits like empathy, love, and compassion- making you feel more connected to not only everybody around you , but living beings in general like animals, plants, and the earth, which is a living being, itself. In times like these, especially as young people, even if we are healthy, it’s important to practice compassion and help others that could be suffering. We are in this together, let’s not be indifferent to others risk. it’s our responsibility to do whatever it takes to keep everyone safe. Empathy to others’ reality and solidarity could make the difference in hard moments like this. We can’t think that we will be unaffected because we feel young and healthy. we have parents, grandparents, friends, and neighbors, and we don’t want to be a part of the problem when we could be part of the solution. So I’d like you to take 10 minutes of your day today to either look up loving kindness meditation on Calm or YouTube. Or just follow these instructions: close your eyes and sit with your spine upright and feel gravity grounding your body to the earth’s surface and supporting you. Take three deep breaths and then begin to just notice the natural flow of your breath. Being aware of breathing in, breathing out. Following every inhale and exhale with your attention. Once your mind has stilled. Picture every human in the world right now, elders, people that have respiratory problems and are vulnerable, picture the people that are vulnerable, picture their families, and say “May you be healthy. May you be safe. May you be free from illness. May you be well.” Repeat until you really feel it in your heart ❤️- love you guys, please stay safe !

Sunday Mood: Today I spent several hours with my god son, just walking on the pier. I can’t remember the last time I stood outside in New York City without thinking about where I needed to be in the next 30 minutes. But today was serene, and clear without a plane in the sky, you can breathe and feel the air difference. With challenges we are going through now it’s seems like Mother Nature is waking up in a positive way again, and today, we thought about nothing but the present on that pier. Last week when my mind first registered the fact that I would need to remain in one place, in one city, without movement, travel, stimulus or much human interaction, I cannot lie it made me nervous and anxious. I’m learning what it means to put my busy or complicated life on hold and just be still for a while, in one place, with hyper awareness of the people and spaces directly around me and the moment to moment actions I am making. As my heart remains with the lives around the globe that are severely affected right now, I am finding my own world somewhat unfamiliar.  During the past few days I’ve spent much time at home isolated with loved ones. I’ve cooked, cleaned, caught up with people over the phone, grocery shopped, online read, slept, listened to music and walked to the piers for fresh air. And day by day I’m reminded of all these simple things, the simple pleasures in my life that make happiness. We must learn to educate our hearts and minds to create value in every moment. By no means am I thrilled about this scenario we’re all facing, but I am certain that moments like these can be incredibly introspective and reflective, they can help to ground us, and ultimately make us more full, compassionate and mindful people, creating unity to remind us we are all human. Hope you’re all staying strong, united and positive as much as you can out there. Hold on, we will get through this. With love, Naomi ❤️🙏🏾

The times we are in feel surreal and have put everything into perspective. I’m using this time to appreciate the family time I get to enjoy with Justin and Issac. But we have to acknowledge that it’s a big adjustment to stay inside all day, so remember to also check in and take care of your mental health. Though the times are tough I choose to hold on to comfort given in the eternal command, “Fear not.” I have faith for the now and faith for the future. As we know faith without the necessary work behind it doesn’t mean much. I believe it’s important for us to remain positive, level-headed, calm, and to continue to support each other. It’s also important to take this seriously; if your job allows, socially distance yourself. Even if you’re young and healthy it’s up to all of us to do our part and protect others, especially the elderly and immunocompromised. I also want to shine a light on those who don’t have the option of staying home from work, those who are missing vital pay checks, and the children who are missing out on free or reduced lunches they depend on at school. Thank you to the healthcare workers who are working tirelessly and risking their own health to protect us all. We’re all in this together, so in the spirit of “love thy neighbor” let’s lead with love and kindness ❤️

Be kind, Be respectful, be aware …🌹 As healthy young people , social distancing is not about you personally.. it’s a time to not be selfish , but to be thoughtful and aware of those with immune systems that are more prone to contracting. It’s important to take this time seriously to slow down the spreading of the virus… I’d say it’s better to overreact then under-react . Please keep your moral compass ON during these times and show compassion to others… Buy what you need and don’t be greedy… If you’re at the grocery store and you are fighting with an elderly lady over toilet paper, you are f’ed up, wrong and not doing anything to help the problem (😡😡) Lead with love and the world will heal… slowly but surely…. And to the people still working… thank you and I am thinking of you! stay safe and respectful out there , I love you ❤️

My son’s are too young to understand the complexities of what’s happening. But they aren’t anxious and nervous like the rest of us. They live in a house with their grandmother who is the most vulnerable. I have been in contact with hundreds of people in the past four weeks… And I’m staying away from the house until I am cleared of the virus. This hurts because I miss them so much they are what makes me wake up every day and live and breath, they are my ultimate joy, but this is my sacrifice to make sure everyone around me is safe.. I haven’t had this much time home in years, and I wanted to build Legos and watch movies with them.. But for now im just going to stay by the window and listen to them play drums and sing for me .. Think about others in every decision you make in the coming weeks. This isn’t A drill.. We already have enough news from Italy Iran Korea and China about the best ways to slow this.. We need to be smart, going out and interacting with groups is canceled, but kindess is not canceled, Love is not canceled, empathy is not canceled. Happiness is not canceled… Stay strong for the ones who can’t right now

How to Handle Packages? Lots of you are asking what the public health officials and doctors say about receiving packages. This is what I’m doing, based on the experts’ advice: still getting packages and food delivery. I ask the delivery person to please leave the boxes outside. Then I open the packages outside – touching them with a wipe or glove. Dispose of the packaging and glove/wipe outside. Wipe down the contents of the package with disinfectant and bring the contents inside. I’m told you can also opt to leave your external clothing outside if you live where there is some sun. Also I say a big thanks to the delivery person who is very busy supporting everyone now. #coronavirus #socialdistancing #stayhome #wellness #gratitude #healthyliving #wisdom Reposted from @jessicayellin
