Shakira Confuses People Everywhere
Highlighting the talent of Latin superstars Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, the Super Bowl halftime show had plenty of viral moments. From Lopez singing “Born in the USA” while draped in the Puerto Rican flag to the appearance of her daughter for a song medley, it took many turns. However, it was Shakira’s tongue-flicking towards a camera that caught everyone’s attention. Social media seemed confused about the moment, until one user cleared it up once and for all. What was dubbed the “tongue thing” was actually zaghrouta, an Arabic expression of joy and celebration.
Quit the stupid jokes. This is called zaghrouta (a.k.a. ululation in English). It is a joyful sound Arabic speakers make when cheering & celebrating. #Shakira #ShakiraXJLoSuperBowl pic.twitter.com/mG2cWpB592

Yves Saint Laurent Exhibition Honors Betty Catroux
Fashion icon Betty Catroux wasn’t just a muse for Yves Saint Laurent, she was considered his “female double”. Her androgynous look inspired dozens of his designs, and now her influence on the Saint Laurent house will be honored by a special exhibition at Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris from March 3 to October 11. Over 50 designs that embody the masculine-feminine flare that YSL was so well-known for will be on display.
Saint Laurent creative director Anthony Vaccarello, who partnered with the museum for the exhibition, shared his thoughts on Catroux’s importance to the house, saying, “She lives and breathes Saint Laurent. An allure, a mystery, an almost nefarious aspect, an elusive yet desirable nature, all that underlies the house’s aura, and you understand the magnitude of it when you meet Betty.”

Not only is Nike designing around the core value of sustainability, in keeping with the brand’s commitment to helping protect the future of the planet, but it also has the honor of creating Team USA’s podium outfits. They will also feature sustainable designs, with Nike’s iconic ‘Windrunner’ jacket reengineered in 100 percent recycled polyester, and ‘Air VaporMax 2020’ sneakers made from recycled materials.
