If you’re one of the lucky ladies who got engaged this past Christmas, congrats!

We reckon you’ve already started thinking about what you’ll be wearing when you walk down the aisle and, if you’re looking for bridalwear inspiration, there’s plenty to be found thanks to the celebrity brides of 2019. From boho chic to demure formal gowns, we’ve rounded up wedding dresses to suit every style, whether you’re planning a sunny ceremony on a far-flung beach or a winter wedding in a country house. Pinterest boards at the ready.

1

Heidi Klum

Supermodel and former Project Runway host Heidi Klum did not disappoint with her bridal style, enlisting Valentino to create the spectacular gown that she wore to wed Tom Kaulitz in Capri. Taking boho chic to the next level, her off-the-shoulder gown featured puff sleeves and a voluminous skirt with floral embroidery that matched the incredible floral décor at the ceremony.

Ellie Goulding

Going down the traditional route for her nuptials at the grand York Minster cathedral, singer Ellie Goulding chose a high-necked, long-sleeved gown by Chloé when she married Caspar Jopling. The custom silk crepe dress, which took 640 hours to create, was embellished with hand-embroidered White Roses of York and white glass beads.

Sophie Turner

In one of the biggest celebrity weddings of the year, Game of Thrones star Sophie Turner married popstar Joe Jonas at Château du Martinay in the south of France. As one of the faces of Louis Vuitton, it’s no surprise the actor turned to creative director Nicolas Ghesquière for her magnificent bridal gown, a lace full-skirted number with sheer sleeves and a cut-out back.

Zoë Kravitz

True to fashion, the famously private Zoë Kravitz wed actor Karl Glusman of Nocturnal Animals fame in the summer of 2019, but didn’t release photos of the star-studded affair until much later. The Big Little Lies star wed in a ballerina-esque Alexander Wang gown with a boat neck, a drop waist, and one sort of unusual feature: it ended a few inches above her ankles.

Lauren Hashian

After 10 years together, singer-song writer Lauren Hashian married actor Dwayne Johnson – a.k.a. The Rock – in August. For the destination wedding in Hawaii, held at the unusually early hour of 7:45 a.m., the bride donned a stunning floral embroidered gown with a plunging V-neck by Mira Zwillinger.

Hilary Duff

Another celeb to say “I do” in 2019, Hilary Duff married music producer Matthew Koma at the couple’s LA home, with the bride wearing British designer Jenny Packham. The American actor’s floor-length ivory gown was understated from the front – it featured strong shoulders and flowing cape sleeves – but beautifully detailed at the back, with a cut-out and 100 buttons running down the center.

Hailey Baldwin

Yet another celebrity wedding that had tongues wagging was that of Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin. For starters, they had two, with the larger celebration taking place on September 30 in the luxurious waterfront resort of Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina.

As for the bride? She wore a whopping three different looks for the big day: a custom Off-White gown and matching veil emblazoned with the words “till death do us part” for the ceremony, a Ralph & Russo halterneck seen in the first photobooth shots to emerge from the wedding, and a custom Vera Wang slipdress that she teamed with trainers at the reception.

Katherine Schwarzenegger

Author Katherine Schwarzenegger and actor Chris Pratt both wore Armani Privé for their nuptials in California last summer. The bride’s simple but beautiful strapless bustier gown came with a lace train, and she donned the same veil that her mother Maria Schriver wore on her wedding day.
