You think you know Dubai, but you don’t. You think it’s a city of towering skyscrapers, overcrowded malls, fast cars, and faster development. But past its gleaming facade is a city where cassette stores, old-school barbershops, hole-in-the-wall eateries, and bustling souks add charm and contrast, as proven by a brand spanking new app named Street Life.
Designed to help you feel the pulse of our dynamic city through a series of virtual tours – complete with stop-by-stop navigation – it unveils over 100 hidden gems and unique experiences curated by local experts. Not only does the app feature a swipe-like function (perfect for the “Tinder Generation”) to help users find nearby places and activities, but a virtual tour guide will also allow them to self-explore sans tour guide. And if you’re one to prefer doing things with a tour guide in tow, you can simply upgrade. Everything from street art and Instaworthy spots to more unexpected options like thrift shopping and the city’s African scene is covered – just in time for the long weekend ahead.
The android version of Street Life is now available on Google Play, with iOS expected to follow shortly.
