We get it. We can barely keep up with the onslaught of information ourselves. That being said, it’s our mission to keep readers in the know, which is why we’ve combed through it all, distilled it to its essence, and dispensed it into easily digestible tidbits. Justin Bieber and Hailey Bieber Tie the Knot (Again)
After getting engaged on July 10 in 2018, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin secretly married in a private ceremony at New York City Hall only a few months later. However, for the wedding, they wanted to do it right, and set the date for October 2019 in South Carolina. The star-studded affair brought out friends like Kendall and Kylie Jenner, Usher, and Joan Smalls to celebrate the happy newly(ish)weds.
While they did their best to keep the details of the wedding secret, a few have emerged since the big day. Apparently, their wedding playlist included a lot of 90s R&B, as well as songs by Bieber himself and a live performance by Daniel Caesar. The whole thing reportedly cost around $500,000 – a modest amount if you think about how much an average Lebanese bride will spend on her wedding. And the cutest detail of them all goes to Bieber, who apparently was so nervous that he stammered through his wedding vows six times before getting them right.
Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott Split
Seismic shockwaves rippled through the planetary atmosphere when news emerged last week that loved-up celebrity couple Kylie Jenner and Travis Scott had split. The two have a daughter together, Stormie Webster, and have committed to co-parenting her. They have also spoken publicly about the amicable nature of the split, which was the result of the couple wanting very different things in life. But that didn’t stop the entire world from losing its collective mind at the news.
Gigi Hadid Confronts Prankster at Chanel SS20 Show
During the final walk at the Chanel Spring/Summer 2020 runway presentation at Paris Fashion Week, French comedian and YouTuber Marie Benoliel dashed onto the catwalk and proceeded to disrupt the show until Gigi Hadid confronted her and helped escort her backstage. The moment quickly went viral, with many admiring Hadid’s quick, no-nonsense action. Others, meanwhile, called it a publicity stunt that only served to help boost Benoliel’s public profile. We think fashion editor Emma Hope Allwood put it best when she said, “Yes, I am aware the woman is a comedian, but to be a comedian, you actually have to be funny.”

Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss Calls Out Business of Fashion
Business of Fashion celebrated the BoF 500, a list of the 500 most important fashion industry movers and shakers, with a gala event last week. After the event, one of the invited guests and a member of the BoF 500, designer Kerby Jean-Raymond of Pyer Moss called out the event and Business of Fashion founder Imran Amed for cultural appropriation.
In a long-form essay that Jean-Raymond self-published on Medium, the designer went into great detail about the meetings during which Amed promised him a cover for the publication’s inclusivity issue. He also revealed how Amed picked Jean-Raymond’s brain for a diverse list of names to include on the prestigious list. Not only did the designer take issue with feeling “used” after Amed took back his promise of granting him a cover (citing that Business of Fashion was going in a different direction), but he was also dismayed at the use of an all-black gospel choir as the main form of entertainment at the gala event.
Amed responded to the critique via a lengthy apology on Business of Fashion, explaining why he chose to use the choir and listing examples of his commitment to inclusivity and diversity. However, after Jean-Raymond penned his essay, he took to Twitter to post, “Bet you 5$ they’ll reduce it to ‘he’s mad about the choir.’” In essence, that is exactly what Amed did by glossing over the finer points of the designer’s call-out. He did not address the rescinded cover nor the fact that he used Jean-Raymond for ideas on who to include in the list. Amed’s apology letter may be titled Why I’m Listening to Kerby Jean-Raymond, but many have pointed out that his non-apology apology was distinctly lacking in the “listening” department. Business of Fashion has since posted an impartial investigation that details what went down on both sides.

Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds – a.k.a. Hollywood’s most ridiculously photogenic couple – have blessed the human race with their combined genetics once more. It was reported that the two welcomed their third child to the world in secret over two months ago. Why the secrecy? The two wanted to have the privacy and space to enjoy the newest member of their family without the pressure of providing details for paparazzi and nosy fans.

Prince Harry Sues Daily Mail
Citing historical precedent, Prince Harry has issued a lawsuit against the owners of two major British tabloids. He is suing News Group Newspapers Ltd (which publishes The Sun) and Mirror Group Newspapers, (which owns Daily Mirror and Sunday Mirror. In an emotional public statement, Prince Harry said, “Unfortunately, my wife has become one of the latest victims of a British tabloid press that wages campaigns against individuals with no thought to the consequences – a ruthless campaign that has escalated over the past year, throughout her pregnancy and while raising our newborn son.”
He went further to draw parallels to the tragic death of his mother, Princess Diana, who was in a car wreck caused by paparazzi following her too closely, saying, “…My deepest fear is history repeating itself. I’ve seen what happens when someone I love is commoditized to the point that they are no longer treated or seen as a real person. I lost my mother and now I watch my wife falling victim to the same powerful forces.”
