Angelina Jolie Makes a Surprise Appearance at Comic-Con

Angelina Jolie has kept a low profile the past two years since her public split and ensuing custody battle with former partner Brad Pitt, but we are thrilled to see her in the limelight once again. Laying rumors to rest, Jolie appeared at Comic-Con 2019, confirming her participation in the Marvel universe. 

Following news of her casting in The Eternals alongside Kumail Nanjiani, Richard Madden, and Salma Hayek, Jolie told the crowd at Comic-Con, “I’m so excited to be here. I’m gonna work 10 times harder because, I think what it means to be a part of the MCU and what it means to be a part of this family, we know what the task is ahead. We know what you deserve… we are all gonna be working very, very hard.”


Gossip Girl Gets a Reboot

Gossip Girl fans rejoiced this week when HBO Max announced a 10-episode reboot of the popular series. Instead of renewing focus on main characters Serena van Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Blair Waldorf (Leighton Meester), the Gossip Girl reboot will center on a new generation of teenagers who attend New York City’s elite private schools. There’s no news yet as to who will play the main roles in the new version, but chances are high that Generation Z favorites will make their debut.


Givenchy Unveils Campaign Starring Ariana Grande

After the success of 7 Rings and her crowning achievement as the first female artist on Spotify to have three albums with over 3 billion streams, Ariana Grande has crossed another milestone, becoming the face of high-fashion house Givenchy. It might have seemed like a curious collaboration at first, but debut images of her first campaign with the brand have laid all doubts to rest. She looks stunning, she looks sophisticated, and most of all, she’s seriously selling the clothes that she’s wearing.

The Cats Trailer Debuts to Everyone’s Horror

With an all-star cast boasting the likes of Taylor Swift, Idris Elba, Jason Derulo, Jennifer Hudson, James Corden, and Rebel Wilson, expectations for the film adaptation of one of  Broadway’s longest-running musicals, Cats, was high. However, hopes were quickly dashed when the official trailer debuted, and the Internet’s reaction to it seemed unanimous: it’s horrifying. Blame the fact that the cats all had human lips and teeth, or the uncanny valley in which the human-esque CGI-d pseudo felines reside, but people were not having it. Elie Saab Jr. Ties the Knot

The godfather of Lebanese haute couture, Elie Saab, might soon find himself being a grandfather. Over the weekend, the designer’s son Elie Saab Jr. tied the knot with Christina Mourad. It was the Arab wedding of the year, with a dress that outpaced all others. Known for his bridal couture, Elie Saab designed the dress himself, which featured custom embroidery, an extravagant headpiece, and a 3.5 meter train. With 1,000 guests in attendance at patriarchate of Bkerke in Lebanon, everyone who’s anyone was there — including celebrities like Dita von Teese and Toni Garrn as well as influencers Karen Wazen and Lana El Sahely. During Paris Haute Couture Week, French fine jewelry brand Chaumet showcased an astonishing new collection called ‘Les Ciels de Chaumet’ or ‘The Skies of Chaumet’. Captured against a dreamy, sunset-sky backdrop, ‘Les Ciels de Chaumet’ makes its colorful debut.
