Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Tie the Knot
After the Billboard Music Awards wrapped, Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner and musician Joe Jonas headed to the most unlikely afterparty ever: the altar. The couple had been engaged since 2017, and were in the late stages of planning a wedding in France. However, they took a detour to a Las Vegas wedding chapel and tied the knot early, with the ceremony performed by none other than an Elvis Presley impersonator.
The impromptu wedding had some truly quirky details: Ring Pop wedding rings – the trash of which is currently selling for $1,350 on eBay – and Turner’s decision to wear a white pantsuit instead of a wedding dress. For all its unique charm, the two still plan to go through with a bigger wedding ceremony in France later this year.
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds Reveal Pregnancy
Celebrity power couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have just announced the impending arrival of a third child. They made an adorable red carpet appearance at the premiere of Reynold’s new film Pokémon: Detective Pikachu last week, where a radiant Lively revealed her baby bump for the first time. The couple’s other children are four-year-old daughter James and two-year-old Inez, which means they’ll soon have three little ones under the age of five to keep up with.
Souq.com Becomes Amazon.ae
The news had been teased for years, ever since Amazon acquired Souq in 2017, but the change has officially come to pass: souq.com is now officially amazon.ae. What’s different? First, customers will have access to significantly more products as amazon.ae will stock more than 30 million products to choose from, compared to souq.com’s 9.8 million product offerings.
Fortunately, some of the best things remain the same as you can use your Souq login on amazon.ae, and the company will still accept cash-on-delivery. Unfortunately, Amazon did not bring its coveted Amazon Prime service along with the transfer, but the company has plans to implement Prime in the region in the next few years – hopefully sooner rather than later.
Salvatore Ferragamo Launches '42 Degrees' Capsule Collection
Italian luxury brand Salvatore Ferragamo continues its reinvention with the help of two of its own young designers, Flavia Corridori and Luciano Dimotta. The two were tapped for an exclusive capsule collection, which features products that are the result of an internal competition to create “accessories with sustainable materials and consistently with the iconic style of the brand”.
Relying on the Ferragamo archives for inspiration – particularly an iconic 1938 style called the ‘Rainbow’ sandal – the two designers created their sustainable collection in bright, optimistic colors. Called ‘42 Degrees’ after the height of the sun that makes rainbows visible, the collection contains details like a multicolored ribbon motif, as well as ‘Gancini’ metal accessories in Ferragamo’s distinct style. Discover the cool new products from the collection, below, and get a head start on the sustainable luxury trend.

Bulgari Celebrates a Decade-Long Partnership
Bulgari, now in its tenth year of partnering with Save the Children, have launched an exclusive custom-made silver and onyx pendant just in time for its new Give Hope campaign. The Italian label first launched this partnership with the goal of achieving tangible results and, in so doing, has helped 1.5 million children by raising $90 million globally over the past decade. By investing in 114 projects in 34 countries across five continents, Bulgari literally put its money where its mouth is.
Part of the donations come by way of its jewelry collections, like ‘Give Hope’ pendant, the proceeds of which are donated to Save the Children. Meanwhile, guests of the Bulgari Hotels & Resorts in Dubai can also contribute to this vital cause by making a simple donation at check-out. What better way to give back during Ramadan than by donating to a cause that directly impacts the livelihood of children around the world?
