Hey, remember when you first launched your Instagram account with a grainy photo of a cup of coffee? You had yet to discover the power of filters, and your friends and family liked it out of mere obligation. It’s a slightly different case for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who launched their official Instagram account less than a day ago – and have managed to amass over 2.1 million followers already.
So what do we know about the account so far? Well, for starters, the world has only been privy to one post, which was captioned with the following statement: “Welcome to our official Instagram; we look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal.”
Luckily for their followers, the one post is actually an album of ten photos – all of which we have shared, below – showing Prince Harry and Meghan Markle doing what they do best: greeting fans, making public appearances abroad, and actively involved in acts of philanthropy. At last count, 761,078 likes illustrated just how excited fans of the royal family are to welcome the couple on social media. Could the next post be a birth announcement?
