Did you know that the first International Women’s Day took place over 100 years ago? In an effort to celebrate the achievements of women, promote gender equality, and raise awareness against bias, this very special day has been going strong since 1911. In 2019, the theme of the global campaign is #BalanceforBetter, which is intended to run all year long. It’s supported by the idea that balance isn’t just a women’s issue – it’s an economic issue that affects every sector of existence, from the media and government to the boardroom.

In celebration of International Women’s Day, Savoir Flair Radio – now in its second installment – has launched a brand new playlist. Buoyed by the camaraderie of our fellow women, the playlist focuses on songs that promote self-confidence and empowerment, which is why we’ve named it ‘Feeling Myself’. Naturally, Beyoncé has a lot to say on this topic, as do other inspiring popstars like Demi LovatoAlicia Keys, and Ariana Grande. The playlist also features some lesser-known (but no less talented) acts like Lizzo, Kari Faux, and Lion Babe. Clocking in at just shy of three hours, ‘Feeling Myself’ is the perfect backdrop to working out, getting ready, or taking a road trip with your girlfriends.
