We get it. We can barely keep up with the onslaught of information ourselves. That being said, it’s our mission to keep readers in the know, which is why we’ve combed through it all, distilled it to its essence, and dispensed it into easily digestible tidbits. Speaker Nancy Pelosi Gets Meme'd
The freshly minted Speaker of the United States House of Representatives swears she wasn’t being sarcastic, but when Nancy Pelosi was seated behind Donald Trump during his State of the Union address, her very funny clap went viral anyway. With hands thrust out in front of her like she’s about to imitate a crocodile snapping its jaws, Pelosi’s applause looked incredibly insincere. Given that Trump’s State of the Union speech was (predictably) packed with lies, her reaction is only appropriate if you ask us.
Jennifer Lawrence Is Getting Hitched
Our favorite imaginary best friend and ultra-talented actress Jennifer Lawrence has a wedding on the horizon. After her very public split with director Darren Aranofsky last year, Lawrence chose to keep her new relationship with Cooke Maroney private.
Maroney – who works in the New York City art scene – and Lawrence have been romantically linked since last summer. He wasted no time in putting a ring on it, with Lawrence seen sporting a massive diamond engagement ring last week, according to Page Six.
11 Honoré Debuts at New York Fashion Week
Size inclusive e-commerce site 11 Honoré broke ground by being one of the only places online that plus-size women could buy luxury clothes made by high-end brands. It broke ground again by showing a size-inclusive collection that included designs by the likes of Prabal Gurung and Brandon Maxwell at New York Fashion Week. Fresh looks for the Fall/Winter 2019 season were backed by Shopify’s technology, which meant they were available for purchase by the audience live during the show.
Founder Patrick Herning, whom we recently had the pleasure of interviewing, was vocal about the region’s importance while backstage at the show. “As a brand, we are excited to expand our presence in the Middle East and provide women luxury offerings in sizes that previously weren’t available,” he shared. “The immediate success of 11 Honoré over the past year proves there is a desire and need for luxury apparel in US sizes 10-24, and we look forward to providing women in the region a chance to experience the best designer options and specialty collections designed exclusively for her.” 11 Honoré is now shipping to Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE.
Cartier Launches 'Les Galaxies de Cartier' collection
The innovative universe of Cartier fine jewelry just expanded with the addition of its new ‘Les Galaxies de Cartier’ collection. As a vivid expression of Cartier’s creativity and experimental side, the collection plays on cosmic themes like the Milky Way, planetary orbits and alignments, and the birth of stars.
One of the most captivating qualities of Cartier’s fine-jewelry pieces is that many of them are crafted with rotating spheres, so that planetary rotation becomes a tangible element as you feel the movement against your skin. Discover some of our favorite pieces in the gallery below.

Puma Launches a Platform for UAE Creatives
Global sports brand PUMA has stepped up engagement in the Middle East with the launch of an exclusive new platform called Suede Guerrillas. Aimed at youth culture, this unique online destination spotlights up-and-coming creatives from the UAE and promotes the works they have crafted for regional campaigns.
For example, Omani photographer Fatima Al Bakry shot visually arresting portraits of female muses who were painted with and surrounded by splashes of colors that indicated their home country’s flag. Check out more from this creative program by visiting SuedeGuerrillas.com.
