Kendall Jenner Tops List of Highest Paid Models of the Year

Although Kendall Jenner came under fire earlier this year for comments where she said she was more “selective” about the fashion shows she does every season due to her high levels of anxiety about performing, unlike the “other girls” who have to do up to “like 30 shows a season,” she has topped Forbes’ list of 2018’s highest paid models. Exclusive contracts with Estee Lauder and Calvin Klein earned the young model an estimated $22.5 million between June 2017 and June 2018. Karlie Kloss resides at the number 2 position with $13 million, while Chrissy Tiegen and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley tie each other on the list for third.

Kanye West Airs His Grievances on Twitter

Another tirade on Twitter by Kanye West left the Internet scrambling to unpack exactly what had happened as fallout touched everyone from Travis Scott to Ariana Grande. West’s apparent target was Drake, with whom he has been feuding since the summer due to disses in tracks that West had produced which called out Drake. In the confusing morass of complaints, West addressed his mental health, the fact that he has been off his meds for the past six months in order to produce better quality music, perceived slights made by Drake, and issues of Travis Scott’s loyalty to the family.

By the end, West revealed that Drake had called him in response to the Tweet-barrage, and that threats had ensued. Kim Kardashian-West rose to her husband’s defense, tweeting, “My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know. He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world.” In an ensuing tweet, she wrote, “Never threaten my husband or our family. He paved the way for there to be a Drake.” Naturally, Drake fans came to the rescue, criticizing Kardashian-West for the bold (and, some would say, outrageous) claim.

Cardi B Fashion Nova is 2018’s Top Trending Fashion Search

Google has released its annual “Year in Search” list, and the top trending fashion brand of the year was a huge surprise. Fashion Nova, the affordable online shopping site, secured the coveted top spot this year, due in large part to its collaboration with Cardi B, which sold out as soon as it dropped. With 14 million followers on Instagram alone, it’s no wonder Fashion Nova beat out major brands like Gucci for the number one position.
