Jessica Chastain Welcomes Baby Boy

This week, Page Six and US Weekly both confirmed that notoriously private actress Jessica Chastain and her husband, Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo, had recently welcomed their first child via surrogate. However, no one is certain when the baby boy was born or how old he is at the moment. Kudos to Chastain to keeping her private life on lock, and congratulations on her new arrival.

Kim Porter Dies at 46

In a very unexpected tragedy, model Kim Porter was found dead in her home at the age of 46. She was a popular model and friend to so many in the fashion industry. Porter was also the former wife of Sean “Diddy” Combs and the mother of their four children. Combs and Porter shared a strong friendship and enjoyed co-parenting together, according to friends and family. Several days after the news broke, Combs took to Instagram to post a beautiful, heart-shattering tribute to Porter.

Victoria’s Secret CEO Steps Down

Victoria’s Secret has been struggling lately. As millennials and Generation Z patently reject sexually driven advertisements, and new brands emerge that cater to a more authentic and inclusive demographic of women, its messaging isn’t striking a chord any longer – shares have stagnated and the brand is trying to right its course.

Cue: a terribly timed and poorly received interview with Victoria’s Secret’s Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek, who revealed the ugly side of the brand’s casting practices on the record. And, as a result of the immediate and sharp backlash that followed, CEO Jan Singer resigned abruptly this week. Curiously, Razek remains on.

Beyoncé Buys Topshop Out of Ivy Park Shares

After recent news that Topshop’s parent company head, Sir Philip Green, was embroiled in a nasty #MeToo scandal, Beyoncé responded with the ultimate chess move by buying back all of her Ivy Park shares from the brand. The original partnership was forged in 2016, sharing an equal 50/50 split via Beyoncé’s Parkwood and Green’s Arcadia Group. Beyoncé let them know exactly what she thought of Green’s alleged behavior by severing ties with Arcadia Group, which had the #Beyhive buzzing with praise online after the news was announced.

Lisa Eldridge Is Launching Her First Beauty Line

Popular YouTube makeup artist Lisa Eldridge lit up social media this week with the highly anticipated announcement of her first makeup range. While she has been working as Lancôme’s creative director, her work with the brand has been collaborative. The new range is entirely independent and features three limited-edition lipsticks: one in her signature deep crimson, one in bright orange-red, and one a deep brick-red hue. Dubbing the collection “a collectible one-off”, Eldridge enthused about the potential to expand her work down the line, and our response is, “Yes, please!”
