A Mysterious Sarcophagus Is Unearthed in Egypt

A massive sarcophagus was unearthed in Alexandria, Egypt, earlier this week, thought to be the final resting place of Alexander the Great. The internet lit up with hilarious, dire warnings about the risks of opening the sarcophagus and potentially releasing untold evil on the earth à la The Mummy. Researchers and scientists defied the warnings and opened it anyway, revealing three skeletons and a mysterious red liquid – which we now know was just sewage. While it lacked any evidence of Alexander the Great’s remains, researchers have only just begun to study who the skeletons might belong to and how they died.

Netflix's New Show Ignites Fat-Shaming Debate

Netflix is under fire for a controversial new show called Insatiable, starring Disney Channel alum Debby Ryan. In it, Ryan dons a fat suit to play an overweight teenager who is humiliated for her size at school. After suffering an assault and having her jaw wired shut, Ryan emerges at the beginning of the new school year as a slim, beautiful swan hell-bent on revenge against those who mocked her for her previous weight.

The backlash to the show has been swift and severe as social media has weighed in (pardon the pun) on the use of a conventionally attractive actress to play the role of a plus-size teen and the notion that how you look determines your self-worth.

Sir Ian McKellan, Jennifer Hudson, and James Corden have also been cast in the movie version of the famous Broadway musical. Reaction to the news on social media has been mixed as some are praising the casting decisions, while others are wondering what the plot will entail since, in reality, not much actually happens in the musical.

Piaget Introduces 'Sunlight Escape' High-Jewelry Collection

However, Piaget’s extraordinary new ‘Sunlight Escape’ high-jewelry collection is intended to pay homage to the warming rays. Each glittering facet of its exquisite gemstones and diamonds reveals depth and intensity, celebrated by three distinct categories: ‘Warming Lights’, ‘Exalting Sights’, and ‘Dancing Nights’.

The first category features pink, yellow gold, and white diamonds formed into beautiful cuffs, necklaces, and watches. ‘Exalting Sights’ focuses on icier tones and dimensions, showcasing pieces set with lapis lazuli, Paraiba tourmalines, and aquamarines.
