The Louvre Launches a Beyoncé and Jay-Z Inspired Tour

With Beyoncé and Jay-Zs recent release of the joint album Everything is Love and its hit single “Apesh*t” – alongside a spellbinding music video that showed the couple taking over the Louvre in Paris – a thousand think pieces on black art were spawned. In response to the overwhelming attention that the music video received, the museum has decided to launch a tour that includes all of the exhibits seen in “Apesh*t”. The only catch? The entire tour is conducted only in French. Time to bust out the Duolingo and brush up!

Burberry Collaborates with Vivienne Westwood

Although she has long influenced British fashion with her counter-cultural designs and original punk aesthetic, Vivienne Westwood will now be given the opportunity to place her stamp on one of the UK’s preeminent heritage houses. Tapped by Riccardo Tisci to collaborate with Burberry on a collection of reimagined iconic styles, Westwood will lend her rebel vision to the legendary British brand.

Referring to his collaborative partner as a “unique champion of British style”, Tisci praised her on Instagram, saying, “Vivienne was one of the first designers who made me dream to become a designer.” The Vivienne Westwood x Burberry collaboration will be released in December 2018, and proceeds will benefit the rainforest charity Cool Earth.

Prada x MyTheresa Has Officially Arrived

If you head over to MyTheresa.com right now, you’ll find one of the luxury e-commerce site’s  biggest collaborations of the year (so far). It launched an exclusive capsule collection in partnership with Prada on July 3rd, marking the second time that the retail platform and luxury Italian house have worked together. 

Prada x MyTheresa tapped Atlanta-based music artist Abra to star in the campaign, underscoring the youthful street vibe of the collection. With references to its Spring/Summer 2012 collection and Fall/Winter 2018 menswear show, the collection features hoodies, dresses, jumpers, bags, bucket hats, shoes, and tops featuring iconic patterns like flames, banana prints, and folkloric mermaid details.

Repossi Opens a New Boutique at The Dubai Mall

Repossi’s very first standalone boutique in the Middle East has arrived, and it’s located at the new ‘Fashion Avenue’ extension at The Dubai Mall. Unlike other luxury brands that have landed in the region, this is only Repossi’s third store worldwide, which heightens the exclusivity of its offerings.
