Five more weeks of sales – need we say more? The annual Dubai Summer Surprises shopping festival continues, featuring discounts and promotions by malls, entertainment venues, theme parks, and even hotels across town. Expect these to be accompanied by stage shows, interactive workshops, and giveaways, making the scorching temperatures that much more bearable.

July 1 to August 31: Dine with Dalí
To the delight of art aficionados, roughly 60 original works – including lithographs and photographs sourced from private collections worldwide – created by the world’s most iconic surrealist artist are being displayed at Coya in Four Seasons Resort as part of the World of Dali exhibition. Entry to the exhibition, which includes “Space Elephant” and “Surrealist Flower Girl”, is free of charge.

July 1 to September 2: Celebrate Women
Continuing to mark strong, bold, and courageous women is FIERCE!, an American Film Showcase program hosted by Cinema Akil at A4 Space in Alserkal Avenue. July 1 to September 8: Get Fit
With temperatures soaring, fitness freaks are headed inside – Dubai Sports World, to be exact. The city’s largest indoor sports venue spans over 25,000 square meters of air conditioned space at Dubai World Trade Centre, hosting everything from basketball and badminton to virtual golf and even a ninja-warrior course. July 3 to 4: Sing Along

The scorching summer months make for a great time to pick up a new skill, and the ‘Lino Carving and Scarf Printmaking’ workshop hosted by Turquoise Boutique Studio is a great place to start.
