Whether it’s Fashion Week, a celebrity wedding, or a major awards show, it takes a very glamorous occasion to get the likes of model Bella Hadid and Oscar-winning actress Alicia Vikander in Dubai and alongside the region’s finest – Mona Zaki, Razane Jammal, Wissam Breidy, and Diala Makki included. And this week, it was a (literal) gem of a property marking its launch in our city: Bulgari Resort Dubai. Here, Savoir Flair lists 18 reasons why the luxury Italian house’s fifth hotel has us swooning already.

1

The 1.4 million-square-foot resort is located on the man-made, seahorse-shaped island of Jumeirah Bay, just off Jumeirah Beach Road.

2

Reminiscent of a traditional seaside village in Italy, Bulgari Resort Dubai blends Mediterranean landscaping with its Arabian Gulf surroundings.

The resort boasts Bulgari's first-ever Marina and Yacht Club featuring a 50-boat harbour alongside 101 rooms and suites, as well as 20 villas.

4

With images of past Bulgari campaigns and jewelry sketches adorning the walls, a Bulgari watch and jewelry store onsite, and even Bulgari lamps and trunk-like minibars in the guestrooms, a stay here is a must for any Bulgari loyalist.

The "Made in Italy" motto can be seen across the entire property through furniture by luxury Italian brands such as Flos and Flexform, with an emphasis placed on elegantly understated décor.

6

Middle Eastern touches embellish the resort at every turn – think: sun shading patterned like winding coral, Beni Ourain rugs from the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, and more.

7

The hotel rooms and suites offer breathtaking views of either the Arabian Gulf or the city skyline – either way, you won't be disappointed.

8

The 540-square-meter 'Bulgari Villa' is inarguably a highlight, with amenities such as a private cinema, hammam, Jacuzzi, gym, beach, swimming pool, wooden decked terrace, and garden on offer.

The suites at the resort are no less enticing, each with a signature Bulgari library hosting coffee table books from the brand's archives alongside titles on the finest in art, design, and travel. You'll also find delicious extras in the form of speakers by Devialet, fitness equipment by Technogym, and more.

Full sea views can be enjoyed from the 25-meter indoor pool at Bulgari Spa, courtesy of floor-to-ceiling windows, alongside treatments featuring La Mer and Amala products.

The gym at Bulgari Resort Dubai is no ordinary one – an outpost of Workshop in London, it's staffed by trainers and nutritionists who will guide you through everything from movement analysis to food-intolerance testing to find what works best for you.

12

Amongst the host of culinary offerings, Il Ristorante promises to be a firm favorite as the menu has been curated by renowned Michelin-starred chef Niko Romito.

The resort's beach club has 14 cabanas fitted with private bathroom facilities, a fridge, and an outdoor deck that can be rented out for the day by those not staying at the property, but wishing to experience some of its luxurious amenities – and a bit of sea breeze, of course.

Love the intrigue associated with undiscovered underwater treasures? The resort's outdoor pool was inspired by brooches produced by Bulgari during the 1920s, with intricate detailing creating the impression that gems are scattered in the water.

16

For a truly intimate gathering of two, La Limonaia – the secret lemon-tree garden – wonderfully pairs two very contrasting elements: the Dubai skyline and the quaintness of old Italy.

17

Between the Il Cioccolato chocolate boutique and La Galleria concept store, there's plenty of opportunities to do a little impulse purchasing.

A ride in a Maserati limousine? Check. Breakfast for dinner? Check. A jewelry shopping spree from the comfort of your own suite? Check. Simply said, no demand is too big for Bulgari Resort Dubai.
