Alexander Wang Steps Down as CEO

Alexander Wang has spent the last year working as the lead of both the creative and business side of his New York-based brand, but recently announced that he will be relinquishing one of those roles. Wang is staying on as Creative Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He is, however, stepping down as his company’s CEO. In his place, Lisa Gersh (formerly of GOOP and Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia) will become the new CEO, while Stephanie Horton (formerly of Farfetch) will assume the role of Chief Strategy Officer.

Emma Stone Announced as the New Face of Louis Vuitton

After a reported year of courting the young star, Louis Vuitton has finally inked a deal with Oscar-winning actress Emma Stone to be the new face of the brand. Her first task is simple: Stone will soon walk the red carpet for her new film Battle of the Sexes in a straight-from-the-runway look from the label’s splendid Spring/Summer 2018 show. Let’s hope she turns up in one of those yummy frock coats.

A Furry New Member Joins the Teigen-Legend Household

Both Chrissy Teigen and John Legend have a fondness for English bulldogs, a well-documented fact considering they already have three in their family! They brought home yet another puppy over the weekend, named Pepper, and introduced the tiny addition to their adorable daughter Luna. Naturally, it was documented for all of Instagram to gush over.

Okay, so maybe this isn’t “news” in a traditional sense, but it’s a wholesome break from the non-stop onslaught of tragedies streaming in from around the globe. Adorable puppies introduced to even more adorable babies is the panacea we need right now. Enjoy!


Bicester Village Expands Its Offerings

Oxford-based designer outlet Bicester Village recently announced an enormous expansion that will bring about 30 new boutiques. Included in the line-up are Charlotte Tilbury, Acne Studios, Zadig and Voltaire, and Charlotte Olympia. Bicester Village is also launching a new multibrand gifting boutique, a new dining establishment called The Secret Garden Café, and more, all accessible by a dedicated railway that departs from London’s Marylebone Station.


#PuberMe Goes Viral Amongst Celebrities

In the wake of devastating hurricanes affecting Houston, New Orleans, Miami, and Puerto Rico, celebrities have taken to social media to help in the most hilarious way. Although the destruction wrought is no laughing matter, Stephen Colbert decided to take the painfully awkward adolescent years of celebrities like Rosario Dawson and Kristen Bell to raise money for those impacted by the storms. Via his #PuberMe initiative, which donated $1000 for every embarrassing teenage photo submitted by a celebrity, the late night host was able to raise $1 million for hurricane relief charity organization One America Appeal. Hervé L. Leroux Passes Away

Hervé L. Leroux, the French designer behind the Hervé Léger house, passed away this week at the age of 60. Famed for the “bandage” dress, which was made with individual strips of fabric that adhered like a second skin to the silhouette, Leroux leaves a lasting fashion legacy that spans from the 90s to the early aughts. While he sold his Hervé Léger brand to BCBG Max Azria in 1998, Leroux continued on as a designer, making swimwear and custom evening gowns for a private list of clients.


Victoria's Secret Announces Collab with Balmain

Seeking to siphon off some of the star power from Olivier Rousteing’s #BalmainArmy, Victoria’s Secret has recently announced a collaboration with Balmain for its forthcoming annual fashion show that will be held in Shanghai in November. “My BalmainArmy becomes The AngelsArmy,” declared Rousteing on Instagram. Meanwhile, Victoria’s Secret teased a hint of what’s to come with the video below.
