October 1 to 2: Brace Yourself
If you like the idea of terrifying live theater, clear your calendar for the final two days of Woman in Black. Playing at Madinat Theatre, this chilling stage show is an adaptation of Susan Hill’s best-selling novel and follows the story of a lawyer named Arthur Kipps who is desperate to overcome a curse from his past. October 1 to November 20: Delve into Beauty

October 1 Onwards: Hold Your Breath
The region’s first permanent show takes place at Al Habtoor City on a daily basis and is a truly spectacular one. Entitled La Perle, this collision of mesmerizing aquatics, aerial feats, state-of-the-art lighting, 65+ performers, and more has been inspired by Dubai’s culture and created by Franco Dragone of Le Rêve fame. October 2 to 16: Listen Up
Season 24 of Concert Series at The Fridge continues, with Ab Initio taking the stage for a night of alternative rock mixed with blues and jazz. Opening for Jamil Jabbour will be prog-metal duo The Losing Party, with the following sessions featuring cult favorite As Per Casper on October 9th and Chilean virtuoso Vicente Allende on October 16th. October 5 to 7: Cram It In
If you have yet to read all of The Bard’s plays, but can’t fathom finding the time to do so, head to The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (Abridged) [Revised] at The Junction. This hilarious, fast-paced romp will see three actresses portraying over 100 characters from Shakespearean tragedies and comedies with plenty of props – and even more humor – in just 95 minutes. October 5 to 13: Feast for Less

October 6: Catch Kid Ink
Open-air nightclub BASE sees the return of famed American rapper Kid Ink – best known for his single “Show Me” – to Dubai for a late night of live music, light shows, and pyrotechnics. Reminiscent of something straight out of Las Vegas, the d3-based venue has also confirmed platinum-selling artist Erick Morillo on October 12th and superstar DJ MOS on October 13th. October 7: Bend, Stretch, Twist
Starting at 8 p.m., a full-moon yoga session at Fairmont The Palm will be held in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You instinctively know the hits by iconic 60s group Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons, now learn more about their less-than-perfect offstage story through the Tony Award-winning musical Jersey Boys at Dubai Opera. October 12 to 24: Peruse a Pop-Up

October 27: Kickstart the Spooks
Great live performances continue in the form of Fiesta De Los Muertos, a Halloween-themed music festival taking place at Autism Rocks Arena. The gig will feature Nick JonasThe Mariachis, and Carly Rae Jepsen amongst others. Award-winning British visual band Gorillaz is schedule to headline. October 28: Spread the Word
Don your pink workout wear and head to Define in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The studio will host an indoor cycling session accompanied by music from pop’s best female stars. It’s priced at AED 80 and all proceeds will be donated to Pink Caravan, an initiative that advocates for the early detection of breast cancer and spreads awareness about the importance of self-examination.

October 31: Celebrate Halloween
Head to Tribeca for a Chainsaw Massacre-themed bash in a makeshift dungeon, complete with prizes for the best costumes, complimentary drinks, and a guest DJ. Meanwhile, Ocean Blue at Jumeirah Beach Hotel will be hosting a relaxed Halloween-centric beach BBQ catering to all ages. With “shocks and surprises” lurking around every corner, the party at Cirque Le Soir also promises to be a big one.
