Hollywood “It” girl (and our imaginary celebrity best friend) Jennifer Lawrence celebrates her milestone 30th birthday today. Late last year, she wed her boyfriend Cooke Maroney in a private ceremony, and the couple no doubt looked forward to an exciting new decade. However, 2020 threw everyone’s plans out of the window, postponing several of the projects that Lawrence was working on. While we won’t see her back on the silver screen until 2021, Lawrence has remained an adored public figure due to her hilarious and offbeat sense of humor. Between constant swearing, perpetual clumsiness, her down-to-earth personality, and a blatant aversion to dieting, JLaw is one of the most relatable celebrities around.

In honor of her birthday, Savoir Flair recaps seven times when the beloved actress made us laugh.

1

When She Impersonated Cher

It’s hard to go wrong with the combination of Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, and Conan O’Brien – particularly when there’s a Cher impression involved. The birthday girl sounds like a dying cat parade when she sings, and that’s precisely why we loved her bursting into a rendition of “Believe”.

When She Asked for a Blanket on David Letterman

Short dress, chilly studio – what’s a girl to do? Apparently, ask for a blanket if you’re Jennifer Lawrence. The actress ended up snuggling with David Letterman under a bright-pink blanket during her appearance on his late-night talk show. But that’s not all. She got even more real when she brazenly asked the television host, “Do you ever get so cold that you start sweating? Is that just a gross problem I have?”

When She Stuffed Her Face with Marshmallows

If there’s one Hollywood actress not afraid to go the distance for a laugh – be it onscreen or off – it’s JLaw. Spurred on by her Hunger Games co-stars Liam Hemsworth and Josh Hutcherson, she unabashedly shoved ten marshmallows into her mouth for a game of Truth or Dare during an appearance on After Hours with Josh Horowitz.

When She Met Bill Murray for the First Time

Pure, unadulterated joy – that describes Jennifer Lawrence meeting Bill Murray at the 2015 Comic-Con International in a nutshell. Her fangirl moment went instantly viral and was pretty much like most of her other moments: downright relatable.

When She Flirted with Jack Nicholson

When Jack Nicholson interrupted one of JLaw’s interviews, her response was, well, exactly what you’d expect – she jokingly took a jab at him, professed her admiration for his work, proceeded to flirt with him, and rapidly had a mini freakout. Talk about knowing your audience.
