Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Jason Statham Contribute to the Celebrity Baby Boom
Without a doubt, it’s the summer of celebrity babies. First the Clooney twins, then the J-Yoncé twins, and now the arrival of one of the most genetically blessed babies in existence: Oscar Statham. As the offspring of model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley – one of the world’s most drop-dead-gorgeous women – and action star Jason Statham, we’re pretty sure Oscar’s pathway to adult success is already paved with gold.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba Launch Planet of the Apps
Gwyneth Paltrow and Jessica Alba have expanded their personal brands to include major lifestyle businesses Goop and Honest Company, respectively. Now, they are combining their business acumen to launch a new television show called Planet of the Apps. Alba told the press, “It’s Shark Tank meets The Voice meets Silicon Valley.” As part of Apple’s first venture into television, Planet of the Apps allows tech entrepreneurs one minute to pitch their ideas – similar in concept to an “elevator pitch” – and, if their ideas are accepted by any one of the judges on the panel, they get the opportunity to be mentored by them. The first three episodes are streaming on Apple TV, and the first one is currently free on iTunes.
HOV Creates a Tidal Wave with a New Release
Tidal has struggled to maintain relevancy amongst a heap of other more accessible streaming services like Spotify, but Jay-Z injected his platform with a shot of life this past week by releasing his new album 4:44 exclusively on it. While the Internet opined about the difficulty of accessing the album, others caved and signed up for the service just for a chance to hear HOV’s first release since 2013’s Magna Carta: Holy Grail. On the album, he proves he’s still one of rap’s most successful and talented artists with tracks that provide insight into what really happened in the elevator, his struggles remaining faithful to Beyoncé, his appreciation for his mother, and much more.

The Internet Tries to Guess the Names of the Carter Twins
Ahead of the couple’s official statement, internet sleuths have outed the names of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s twins as being Rumi and Sir. In 2012, the power couple registered trademarks for their daughter’s name, Blue Ivy, right after she was born. In similar fashion, they have trademarked the names Rumi Carter and Sir Carter, lending evidence to the rumors.
The Jenner Girls Get Dragged (Again) Over Their Products
It seems like only a few short weeks ago that we were discussing Kylie Jenner’s alleged appropriation of designs from another company, but the younger Jenner and her sister Kendall are already embroiled in yet another sartorial controversy – this time regarding their clothing line, Kendall + Kylie. The internet erupted in fury when the two released a horribly ill-conceived collection of “vintage” shirts depicting their own faces superimposed over images of famous music artists like Notorious B.I.G., Tupac Shakur, and Ozzy Osbourne. “The amount of disrespect is sickening,” tweeted one commenter, while Biggie Smalls’ mother Voletta Wallace stated, “Exploitation at its worst.” Kendall + Kylie pulled the vintage shirt collection amid the backlash.
