Legendary fashion designer Donatella Versace is headed to our shores, arriving tomorrow to celebrate the official opening of Palazzo Versace Dubai in Cultural Village. Donatella is responsible for designing all of the interiors of the 16th century Italian palace-inspired property.
“I am thrilled to attend the grand opening of Palazzo Versace Dubai. I visited the hotel prior to opening, and was amazed by its beauty. This truly is a luxury destination second to none in the world,” says Donatella of the 215-room hotel. It is only the second Versace property in the world, with the first opening in Australia’s Gold Coast back in 2000.
In addition to Donatella attending the grand opening of the hotel, which will also welcome Versace CEO Jonathan Akeroyd and a number of international supermodels, the brand will be showing its couture collection straight from the runways of Paris. “The United Arab Emirates is a very important market for Versace, and we have many brand loyalists living there. We’re so happy to be able to bring the Versace experience to the Middle East,” shares Donatella. The couturiers from Milan will also be present for the occasion, with a portion of couture sales going to charity, according to the brand.
