In celebration of the UAE’s Flag Day and National Day, marked annually on November 3rd and December 2nd respectively, Dubai-based jewelry designer Nadine Kanso teamed up with Emirates airline to create the ‘Bil Arabi for Emirates’ collection. It features a porcelain mug, decorative plate, pouch, and notepad alongside shirts for both men and women with the words “El Emarat” inscribed in golden calligraphy.

“This collaboration is a great fit for Emirates because it showcases local craftsmanship in combination with our innovative travel products in one modern design,” said Abdulaziz Al Ali, Executive Vice President of Human Resources for Emirates. When asked about her signature gold “calligraffiti” design, Kanso explained, “My brand prides itself on paying tribute to Arabic heritage. A huge place I draw inspiration from is Arabic lettering itself. The curves and stokes of the letters are so graceful, and the gold lettering really enhances that beauty.”
