There’s certainly no shortage of burger joints in Dubai, with Firebird Diner in DIFC currently holding the monopoly on the upscale Americana diner experience, but the local F&B scene is about to get a little bit more crowded. Following its huge success in New York City, Black Tap Craft Burgers, a burger and milkshake institution with locations in SoHo and the Meatpacking District, has confirmed that it will be opening a branch in Dubai come December. Could this mean that there will soon be a new king of gourmet burgers on the block?
The restaurant concept, which is based on gourmet burgers and craft beverages, was dreamt up by Michelin-starred chef Joel Isidori. He graduated from The Culinary Institute of America before being hired by Donald Trump as his executive chef, overseeing the food for all of his properties. Isidori’s Black Tap offers up great cooking with creatively crafted burgers and revolutionary, colorful milkshakes.
Menu options such as ‘The California’ turkey burger featuring organic turkey with avocado, Swiss cheese, and truffle mayo or ‘The Texan’ with aged cheddar, crispy onions, bacon, and Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce already sound impossible to resist. Black Tap’s shakes – Instagram sensations in their own right – will serve as the perfect finish, with varieties like cookies and cream, cotton candy, and even Nutella to choose from.
