Dubai’s art scene never stops evolving and, this September, residents are being treated to several mind-expanding works. Read on for Savoir Flair’s roundup of the top three upcoming art exhibitons not to be missed.

'Audible Inaudible'

Iraqi artist and painter Hayv Kahraman debuts her fourth solo show, Audible Inaudible, in Dubai at The Third Line. View her new body of work from September 18th to 22nd as she narrates the violence of sound and trauma connected to her past as an immigrant – and those of many others – through linen, wood, and paper.

'Lines in the Sand'

British-born Chinese artist Gordon Cheung’s first solo exhibition in Dubai, Lines in the Sand, showcases a curated selection of large-scale paintings. His work maps out an unsettling geopolitical landscape through digital sketches and multi-layered imagery in order to depict surreal, post-apocalyptic worlds. The exhibition will be hosted by the Leila Heller Gallery from September 18th to November 7th.

'When Time Does Not Exist'

Gulf Photo Plus welcomes a new exhibition by Stephane Lagoutte and Randa Mirza entitled When Time Does Not Exist, featuring photographic work about Beirut. On display from September 14th to October 27th, the images explore Beirut as a city that has been forgotten and one that has yet to be created through a mix of present-day photos and archival material.
