If you’ve decided to stay in Dubai this Eid Al-Fitr weekend, Savoir Flair’s round-up of things to do in the city will help make this holiday a more memorable one.

1

Holiday at Home

Dubai is known for its incredible hotels and resorts, so make the most of the great summer deals offered this Eid by treating yourself to a much-needed staycation. If you’re hoping to spend the long weekend lounging by the water, we recommend the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, which is offering an ‘Eid Stay Offer’ with rates starting at AED 1,300/SAR 1,327 per night.

2

Try Ka'ak with a Twist

Ka’ak El Eid are traditional cookies served during this holiday, but we’ve found a spin on this delicious treat that will take the guilt (but not the pleasure) out of eating it. Serve this vegan version to friends this weekend and expect them to want seconds – and thirds.

3

Brunch in a Big Way

Numbers don’t lie. With 35 live cooking stations and over 280 dishes from a variety of different cuisines prepared by 130 chefs, the ‘Big Friday Brunch’ at Al Qasr is the quintessential Dubai brunch. The festive atmosphere here is perfect for celebrating the end of Ramadan.

4

Spoil Yourself

New outfits equal new beginnings, so treat yourself to a new look for each day of Eid – after all, it’s tradition, right? For standout pieces that are sure to impress, head over to The cARTel in Al Quoz to receive 30 percent off all Spring/Summer 2016 collections until July 11th.

5

Head Back to the Beach

After avoiding most outdoor activities during the month of Ramadan, it’s now time to head back to the beach and enjoy these long summer days lounging on a sun bed. Spend a full day at one of the luxurious beach clubs in Dubai to soak up the live music and energetic atmosphere from daytime to dusk and beyond. Some of our favorite spots include Eden Beach Club, Cove Beach, and Nasimi Beach.

6

Relax and Rejuvenate

Any holiday is an excuse to spoil yourself, and this Eid is no exception. The Talise Spa at Burj Al Arab is offering a summer package valid until September 30th, which includes full-day access to spa facilities complemented by a gourmet selection of ‘Talise Wellness Tea’. Click here for all the details.

7

Brave the Boards

This long weekend is the perfect opportunity to get back into shape for the summer – or at least kickstart the process! Try out something other than the usual group fitness classes and give standup paddle boarding a shot. Surf House Dubai offers a variety of courses throughout the week and also has a healthy café where you can grab a bite after your lesson.

Play Hostess

Who doesn’t love a good party? There’s no better place to gather all your loved ones than your own home. Here’s a tip: Hire a catering company so you can take a break from all the cooking and focus on things like music and décor. Marta’s Kitchen is one of the city’s most reputable boutique catering companies, and its impeccable food quality and presentation skills will help guarantee that your party is a smashing success.
