Alamira Noor Bani Hashim and Buthaina Al Mazrui have made a name for themselves in the Middle East’s food, culture, and design scenes over the past three years – and for good reason. This summer, the entrepreneurs behind The Dinner Club by No.57 and No.FiftySeven Boutique Café, as well as a host of other pop-up concepts throughout the Emirates, are bringing their delicious food and impeccable design aesthetic to Dubai once again with the launch of Table by No.FiftySeven.
The pop-up Ramadan concept, which is taking place at The Mine Gallery in Al Quoz in partnership with Marina Home Interiors, will run throughout the holy month and serve some of the café’s best-known dishes, such as its signature skillet cookie and arancini balls, alongside Middle Eastern classics like warak enab and lamb with rice.
Talking exclusively to Savoir Flair about the décor, Alamira Noor Bani Hashim shares, “We wanted to break away from the traditional Ramadan tent, which is typically filled with itchy velvet table runners, lots of burgundy and gold trimming, and loud oud players. I wanted to create a space that had a little bit of a resort feel to it and was minimal but still inviting. We painted the walls with actual concrete mix. The aim was to create somewhere cool and hip and where people could come to eat and never want to leave. Just cool vibes all around.”
