With health-conscious and wholesome eating on the rise in the region, Dubai’s Cycle Bistro is hosting a series of inspirational Paleo cooking demonstrations next month for those interested in learning about a simpler approach to healthy eating and living. With the first demonstration already sold out, more dates are scheduled for May 10, May 24, and June 7.
The Paleo diet attempts to mimic our ancestors’ way of eating, cutting out such foods as wheat, legumes, dairy products, soy, grains, and refined sugars. Permitted foods include fish, natural and grass-fed meat, free-range poultry and eggs, natural fats, vegetables, berries, and nuts.
During the cooking demos, Executive Chef Patrick Ikinofo will use all-natural ingredients to demonstrate how to prepare items such as salmon roe, delicious pan-fried organic salmon fillet with kale chips, and beetroot and cauliflower risotto. Dessert will be prepared by chef Elaine Young Hall from DinnerTime, a concept that delivers grocery boxes with the ingredients and recipes for a week’s worth of home-cooked meals, who will show guests how to prepare a Paleo, vegan, chocolate-hazelnut mousse cake.
The Paleo cooking demonstrations cost AED 75/SAR 76 and include refreshments, dinner, and dessert.
