Interested in affordable contemporary art? You’re in luck, because the second annual World Art Dubai exhibit begins today at Dubai World Trade Center. The fair, which will run until April 9th, brings together more than 140 international galleries and artists to present Dubai art lovers with the opportunity to purchase affordable artworks, including over 3,000 paintings, prints, sculptures, and photographs that range in price from $100 to $10,000.
In addition to the art available for purchase, there will be daily informal talks on topics ranging from tips on purchasing art to the growth of the UAE art scene over the last 10 years. Thejamjar will also be on hand to give participants the opportunity to create 3-D paper structures, watercolors, and portraits, with these activities being offered for both children and adults.
Ripe Market will be selling a selection of goods on Friday and Saturday, including furniture and jewelry from local artisans, while, on the food front, high-end Peruvian restaurant Coya will bring some of its signature dishes to the fair via a pop-up restaurant.
Entry to World Art Dubai costs AED 15/SAR 16 per person and the fair is open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
