On April 1st, enjoy live music by Freshly Ground Sounds, sample food by Ripe Organic, engage with like-minded designers and artists, and celebrate all that creativity stands for at -ING Creatives’ ‘Creat-ing Off the Wall’ event.
-ING Creatives is a community dedicated to unlocking creative potential through talks, workshops, and portfolio reviews within the art and design sector. Just last February, the organization gained permission from local authorities to turn a large, blank wall of a JLT building into one of the only permanent outdoor murals in the city, collaborating with Spanish graffiti artist Ruben Sanchez to make this piece come to life. Thousands passed by to see Sanchez in action and shared photos of what became known as the Creative Community Wall, where the event will be held.
Later on in the month, the community’s annual three-day event, the ‘-ING Creative Festival’ held at the Dubai Design District, will run from April 28th to 30th. The festival will feature dynamic and inspirational talks from guest speakers in the fields of art, design, illustration, and publishing. A few of the speakers in attendance include David Delgado from NASA, Etsy’s Global Creative Director Julia Hoffmann, and Behance’s Brand Director Mark Brooks.
