Tonight, both DIFC and Alserkal Avenue in Al Quoz will offer curious visitors the opportunity to brush up against some of the most intriguing art in the region. These initiatives, along with Design Days Dubai and Art Dubai, are all part of the region’s larger Art Week umbrella. With even the creative types struggling to keep up with the influx of artwork available across the city, Savoir Flair breaks down what to expect from this evening’s events to help you navigate where to be and when.

New exhibitions will be open across the expanded art and design hub tonight. Events include the inaugural openings of Custot Gallery, Jean-Paul Najar Foundation, eL Seed Studio, and thejamjar, in addition to artist talks and pop-up projects (including RCA Secret Dubai). Be sure to check out Hassan Hajjaj’s ‘La Salle de Gym des Femmes Arabes’ (Gym for Arab Women) at The Third Line, which features the artist’s depiction of strong and spirited Arab women in his Moroccan pop-culture signature style, as well as shows by Seher Shah at Green Art Gallery, Iranian-American artist YZ Kami at Leila Heller Gallery, and Stéphanie Saadé at Grey Noise.

Meanwhile, in DIFC’s Gate Village, visitors can experience a series of live art installations and musical performances, as well as browse works by established and emerging artists from around the world. Stop by Opera Gallery for the launch of ‘Color of Dew’ by Lita Cabellut and by Artspace for Khaled Zaki’s exhibition, and don’t miss ‘The Invisible Man’ show by Beijing-based artist Liu Bolin.
